My treatment philosophy is to be extremely thorough in the beginning and throughout treatment so that the correct diagnosis is made and other possible diagnoses are not missed. The consequences of a missed diagnosis can be severe and all efforts are made to prevent this possibilty.

I make myself available during appointments and by phone to address the needs of all of my patients as your wellfare is very important to me. I want to make sure that everything is done right for your optimal health.

What I offer is my knowledge and extensive training in a very compassionate environment where you will feel heard and understood. My goal is to listen to you and understand your needs so that we can work together as a team to find the best solution for you. I am fairly easygoing and flexible so that you will be able to discuss your symptoms without feeling pressured or judged. The goal is to improve your health to the maxium extent possible.

While my expertise is in psychopharmacology, I am also an experienced therapist. I also work with local psychotherapists and will refer patients where indicated. I will only see you as often as necessary. Usually more frequently in the beginning and later on when you are stable on medication perhaps once every three months. Patients who are unstable or are receiving psychotherapy are seen more frequently. As I have not set up a mechanism to bill insurance, I do expect payment at the time of the visit.

My fees are currently $250 for an initial consultation of one hour and $125 for follow-up visits. I will provide a "Superbill" which you can send to insurance for re-imbursement. If you have a PPO they should re-imburse at 70-90%. I do charge for missed appointments so please cancel more than 24 hours in advance to prevent this possibility.
